Our Team

Led by professional rider and coach Christina Wiederkehr, the Swiss Eventing team brings together experience from high-level competition, training, rehabilitation and young horse development. United by a shared belief that the horse always comes first, we create a knowledgeable, supportive environment where horses and riders can develop and perform at their best.

MEET THE OWNER

Christina Wiederkehr, BHSII

Christina's fascination with horses began at an early age in Switzerland and developed into a professional career after discovering eventing during a year spent in England. She went on to gain her BHS qualifications, including BHSII at Talland School of Equitation, and worked at Catherston Stud, riding and competing a wide variety of horses. Her professional experience has since taken her through eventing, dressage, rehabilitation and young horse development, including competition up to 4-star level and three years shadowing the British performance squads under Yogi Breisner. She has also worked alongside some of the sport's most respected names, including Lucinda Green at Blenheim and Gatcombe.

Today, Christina continues to compete and develop horses at a high level, more recently training several horses through PSG and Inter I in dressage. Her ambition has always been to bring out the best in every horse, but never at the expense of its wellbeing. A calm, consistent approach, built on trust, patience and a willingness to adapt to the individual horse, remains at the heart of her work — and forms the foundation of Swiss Eventing.

“We are incredibly grateful to Christina and her team for the time, care and attention they have given Rodney over the past couple of months. We are amazed at how far he has come in such a short time and are so excited to get started with him.

Christina was able to take Rodney on at very short notice, and we genuinely couldn’t have chosen a better place for him to spend his recovery. The progress he has made has been remarkable, and we have complete confidence in the next stage of his development.”
