Experience with a purpose.

Swiss Eventing brings together professional experience, thoughtful horsemanship and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of every horse.

Founded around Christina Wiederkehr's lifelong passion for developing horses and riders, Swiss Eventing has grown from that philosophy into a professional environment where training, care and performance work together.

A lifetime around horses.

Christina's relationship with horses began at an early age in Switzerland. Her fascination with eventing led her to England during her professional development, at a time when the country was at the forefront of the sport. She studied at Stonar School, gained her BHS qualifications and went on to develop her skills at Talland School of Equitation and Catherston Stud.

Over the years, she has worked with a wide variety of horses, competed to 4-star level, worked alongside physiotherapists and developed extensive experience in eventing, dressage, rehabilitation and young horse development. She also spent three years shadowing the British performance squads under Yogi Breisner and worked with the legendary Lucinda Green.

Today, that experience informs the way we work at Swiss Eventing.

The horse comes first.

Our approach is rooted in a simple belief: a happy, relaxed horse that has developed trust can offer its very best. Physical and emotional wellbeing therefore sit at the heart of everything we do, regardless of a horse's age, breed, talent or ability.

Every horse is different, and our approach must reflect that. Our knowledgeable and experienced team takes the time to understand each horse as an individual, adapting its care, management and training to help develop confidence, trust and wellbeing.

Experience that keeps evolving.

We never stop learning. Swiss Eventing brings together experience across eventing, dressage, rehabilitation and young horse development, with a continued commitment to improving our understanding of horses and refining the way we work with them.

Christina has more recently trained several horses to PSG and Inter I level in dressage, continuing that process of learning and development.

That attitude is important to us. Good horsemanship means staying open, paying attention and being prepared to adapt when the horse tells us to.

“Christina is a talented horsewoman, riding in and training horses for all disciplines. Every horse in her care is treated as an individual and as if it were her own. Her attention to detail in training, schooling and groundwork is second to none, with the end result being a confident, well produced, happy horse ready for the challenges to come.

It is for the reasons above that I have been more than happy to send Christina two very different horses and, in both cases, have been delighted with the results”
